Loved People Care

The Loved People Care Program is dedicated to providing compassionate support for our church family through a variety of services to help meet their physical, spiritual and relational needs.

Our Programs:

Birthday Card Ministry - In this modern age of quick texts, group emails and video chats, we’ve lost the sweetness of opening a mailed card and reading someone’s handwritten words. Our Saviour sends hand-written birthday cards to each parishioner, sending words of faith, friendship, and encouragement. To learn more or assist with this ministry, contact Melinda Oliwa.

Shepherds – Every member at Our Saviour has a Shepherd. The Shepherds’ role is to reach out to each parishioner in their flock, listen and care, and then link those facing challenges with our ministries that offer the support and encouragement they need. To find your Shepherd or to become a part of this ministry, contact Sarah Stanley, Pastoral Care Coordinator.

Meal Ministry – This teams delivers meals to parishioners in need during difficult or
trying times in their lives.

Flower Delivery Ministry – These dedicated parishioners divide the weekly altar flowers into smaller bouquets and deliver them to parishioners in hospitals, care facilities, or private homes during both seasons of loss and celebration. To learn more or to volunteer contact Carole Brock.

Grief Support Program – Those experiencing grief often need an understanding support community. Our Saviour’s Grief Group uses Beyond the Broken Heart, an eight-week Christ-centered grief ministry for those who have lost a loved one. The study aims to explain the spiritual and practical issues of grief and suggests specific coping strategies. Within the sanctity and community of this group, there is opportunity to share with others and receive the spiritual and emotional encouragement that leads to a life of renewed hope and joy.

This program is presented periodically. Participants are not required to share, but are provided with a safe environment in which to express as little or as much as is needed.

To learn more or to participate contact Fr. Trent Moore, Associate Rector or Sarah Stanley, Pastoral Care Coordinator.
